Education and Training

The care boutique requires for all young people placed with us to participate in further education, training or work placements to assist in the preparation for independent living.

Every young person should be given the opportunity to work towards gaining qualifications in order to develop and work towards a career in the field of their choice. Staff work closely with local authorities, educational establishments, training providers and employers to help young people obtain their placements. Staff will assist with interviewing skills, helping to maintain attendance and punctuality, accompanying to and from open days, interviews, work or training placements, developing an understanding of tasks, homework requirements and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

If the young person is already in attendance of school, college, or training, we will do our best to keep them there and not disrupt the existing placement if possible.

We work in partnership with social workers, carer’s and the young person to ensure all placements are suitable and can help them develop in their required choice of study or work.

Usually schools, colleges, training and employers are based within local surroundings. Where the young person is required to travel outside of the local area to attend, our staff will accompany them until familiar with the route where this is applicable.
